CBSE & CISCE Board Exams 2021 Cancelled
On 1st June PM Modi announced that 12th Board exams for both CBSE and CISCE Class 12 exams have been cancelled.
Over 14 lakh students had registered to appear for the CBSE Class 12 board exams. The students were waiting for an announcement since mid-April when the exam was postponed due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.For many weeks, students of standard 12 and their parents were very worried about the board exams and the COVID situation in India.
Yesterday on 1st June PM Modi announced that 12th Board exams for both CBSE and CISCE Class 12 exams have been cancelled.The decision was made after taking feedback from states, teachers, etc and also because of the uncertain COVID situation in the country. PM Modi said, The health and safety of our students is of utmost importance and there will be no compromise on this aspect. students should not be forced to appear for exams in such a stressful situation. The students will be assessed as per marks scored by them in tests conducted during the year. More information on this will be announced in a few days. Students who still want to take the exams will be given a chance when the situation improves.
