Siddhartha's net worth is more than 1.15 billion dollars. He sold the shares because he to repay a personal loan of Rs 1,000 crore. On Monday 29th July 2019, he was on his way to Mangaluru. He then asked his driver to stop the car at a bridge near the Netravati River. According to the driver he was talking on the phone when he got out of the car. Siddhartha said that he would return soon but he did not. The driver was very worried. The driver tried  calling him when he did not turn up even after an hour. It had also begun to rain. His phone was switched off and the river could not see him on the bridge.

The police then launched a massive search hunt. They started searching the river with the help of local fishermen. They also started checking who he spoke to before he went missing. Politicians in Karnataka, businessmen and his friends and family were very worried for him.
