Chandrayaan-2’s Rover Pragyan Landed on Moon

On 7th September 2019 ISRO tried to land Chandrayaan-2's Vikram lander on the South Pole of the Moon. The Rover named Pragyan, a six wheeled vehicle was inside the Vikram Lander. 10 minutes into the descent Vikram lander lost communication due to some reason and crash-landed far from the planned landing site. Later in December, Vikram Lander’s debris was discovered by NASA with the help of am Chennai based techie Shanmuga Subramanian’s tip. It was thought that the rover inside the lander was also destroyed during the failed landing attempt.
Now Shanmuga gave surprising news. He has claimed that last year during ISRO's Chandrayaan-2 mission, the rover had crash-landed on the Moon. But it has survived the crash-landing. Shanmuga says that there is evidence that Rover Pragyan came out intact after the landing and even moved on the surface of the satellite.
Shanmuga found Pragyan's evidence by using the new set of images taken and shared by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter in January. NASA or ISRO have not confirmed the finding as yet.
ISRO Chairman K. Sivan said, "We have not heard anything from NASA yet. But yes, we have received an email from Shanmuga about this. Our specialists are looking into the matter and we cannot say anything at this juncture."
