With the efforts of 500 personnel including that of NDRF, SDRF, Army etc, finally the boy was rescued at 11.56pm on 14th June. That was more than 100 hours after he fell. He was then shifted to Apollo hospital in Bilaspur district in an ambulance under the observation of specialist doctors. A green corridor was created for about 100 km to facilitate speedy movement," He added that although the trapped child is deaf, the fearless spirit of the child helped the rescuers work with greater zeal.
CM Bhupesh Baghel was continuously monitoring the situation. The CM tweeted, “With everyone’s prayers and the relentless, dedicated efforts of the rescue team, Rahul Sahu has been brought out safely. It is our wish that he recovers completely as soon as possible.”
