Coronavirus to be Covered Under Health Insurance
The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDA) has instructed all the health insurance companies to include medical cover for Coronavirus.

The IRDA has told all Insurance companies that they must quickly settle all the claims related to the Coronavirus. The IRDA also said that the costs of medical expenses during the course of treatment, including the treatment during the quarantine period, must all be paid for by the Insurance companies.
These claims will only be valid if the patient has been admitted to the hospital for at least 24 hours. It also instructed insurance companies to create new policies to cover treatment costs for coronavirus infection.
Similarly even in Mumbai officials raided a factory that was manufacturing hand sanitizers that do not kill any germs at all. They seized hand sanitizers worth Rs 2 lakh. Now many herbal products have flooded the market promising to protect against hand sanitizers.
