Drunk Gujarat Doctor Responsible for Death of Mother and Child
A doctor from Gujrat delivered a baby while he was drunk. The mother and child were declared dead.
A senior doctor in Botad,Gujarat performed a cesarean delivery on a 22 year old woman while drunk.
The woman arrived at the Sonavala Hospital when she started getting labour pain. The doctor advised to opt for a cesarean delivery.
Unfortunately the baby was declared dead on birth. The mother was bleeding profusely. When the woman’s family approached they realised that he was drunk. They decided to move her to a private hospital but she died on the way.
The hospital has launched an investigation to find out the circumstances behind the woman’s death. The doctor has been arrested under the Prohibition Act. He was working with the hospital for the last 15 years.
