Ex-US Presidents Volunteer Offer to Take Vaccine
Three former presidents of the United States have said they are willing to get inoculated against the novel coronavirus on television to convince Americans over the efficacy of the vaccine.
The United States has the highest number of Covid-19 cases and deaths in the world. A Coronavirus vaccine will really help to reduce the spread of the virus. However, many people in the USA are doubting the vaccine and are scared about its safety. Many in the US feel that the vaccine is not safe because it was made in a hurry. Health officials and politicians are finding it difficult to explain to people. Three former presidents of the United States - Barack Obama, George W Bush & Bill Clinton - have said they are willing to get vaccinated against the coronavirus on television in order to help reduce fears of Americans doubting the safety and effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccines.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will soon approve Pfizer - BioNtech’s COVID vaccine for general use. The 3 Presidents started a campaign last week to create awareness about the Vaccine. Obama promised that would take the vaccine once it was approved by the country’s regulators and top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci. The Director of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and US President-Elect Joe Biden have also volunteered to take it vaccine on television.
