George Floyd Dies After Police Kneels on His Neck

An African-American man named George Floyd was handcuffed and pinned to the ground by the police in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The police officer knelt on his neck for more than five minutes. Floyd pleaded, "Your knee in my neck. I can't breathe... Mama. Mama," The officer tells Floyd to "relax". Floyd responds: "I can't breathe. Please, the knee in my neck." The officer continues to hold down Floyd with his knee for several minutes, with Floyd pleading and asking for water. The officers taunted him to "get up and get in the car."
Those who were watching the incident began taking videos and were begging the police to move off Floyd.
It is unclear what happened before and after the video was taken. He was then taken to the hospital where he was later declared dead. Minneapolis Mayor has said that the four police officers involved, including the one kneeling on Floyd's neck, have been fired. The Minneapolis Police Department issued a statement and said its officers were responding to a complaint of forgery against Floyd. After Floyd got out of his car, he physically resisted officers. Officers were able to put him into handcuffs and saw that he was in medical distress. The police then took him to a hospital where he died.
The FBI is going to investigate the matter. This incident has angered people in America. People are very angry with the treatment of African-Americans by the police. Many have said the police officer kneeling on Floyd’s neck must be charged with murder.
