The Delhi Government has allowed gyms and yoga centers to resume work from 14th September 2020 with all necessary precautions. This is because many gyms and fitness companies were requesting the government to allow them to reopen. Now that the government has given permission to reopen, 5,000 gyms will reopen in Delhi and because of this 1,00,000 people can resume their work. There are 1,488 containment zones in Delhi and the gym and yoga centres will not open in these places. Covering of face is compulsory inside the gym and yoga centre. Only ten people are allowed in 1,000 sq ft space.
However, they have to allow customers inside in batches of 15-30 minutes. Between each batch the place must be thoroughly sanitised. Only workouts that do not need the trainer to touch customers will be allowed. The Delhi Government has said that if Gyms and Yoga centres do not follow rules, the gyms and yoga centres will be shut down. Even though the Government allowed Gyms to open many have decided to stay closed.
