Hafiz Saeed Charged With Terror Financing
A Pakistan Anti-Terrorism Court has indicted Hafiz Saeed for financing terrorist organisations across the globe.
Hafiz Saeed was the one who planned the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai. A Pakistan Anti-Terrorism Court said that Hafiz Saeed has been been terrorist organisations by giving them money for various terroist activies.He is currently at the Kot Lakhpat jail.
India had said last week that it was aware that the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attack was "roaming freely" and enjoying "Pakistan's hospitality".The Ministry of External Affairs said that, India had shared all the proofs about 26/11 with Pakistan and it was Islamabad's responsibility to take strict action against Hafiz. Under pressure from various countries in the world, Pakistan then said that they will start court proceeding for this.
FATF (Financial Action Task Force) is an International organisation that helps to control Terrorism. They have decided to hold a meeting next year to decide whether to blacklist Pakistan or not for their terrorist activities. If Pakistan is blacklisted, then no country will do financial business with Pakistan. This is why Pakistan has suddenly started taking action.
