Harbhajan Singh Cheated of Rs 4 Crore

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has been in the news for dropping out of the IPL due to ‘personal reasons’. He has lodged a complaint with the Chennai police against a business man named G Mahesh. In his complaint, Harbhajan said he was introduced to G Mahesh through a common friend. Harbhajan gave Mahesh Rs 4 crore as a loan in 2015. But Mahesh never paid the money back. Whenever Harbhajan asked for the money back, Mahesh delayed and avoided paying the money. On 18th August Mahesh gave Harbhajan a cheque of Rs 25 lakh but the cheque bounced.
After this harbhajan decided to file a case against Mahesh for cheating him. Mahesh was called by the ACP of Chennai Police for an inquiry. Mahesh had said that he took the loan from Harbhajan and had given Harbhajan a property as security. Mahesh said he has repaid the entire loan to Harbhajan. Mahesh has now approached the Madras High Court asking for Anticipatory Bail.
