However, recently President Ram Nath Kovind, who is currently on a five-day trip to his home state, Uttar Pradesh, was welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, state ministers, and a large number of senior officials. While visiting his native place in Uttar Pradesh, said he pays more than 50 percent of his monthly income in taxes. Moreover, India is now all set to have its 15th President as Draupadi Murmu, who is the only tribal woman president. Before the ceremony, the outgoing President (Ram Nath Kovind) and the President-elect (Draupadi Murmu) will arrive in Parliament in a ceremonial procession. After taking the oath, it will be followed by a 21-gun salute performed by the Jawans of the Indian Army. Vice-President, M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Ministers, Governors, Chief Ministers, heads of diplomatic missions, Members of Parliament, and military officers will attend the ceremony. The Union Home Ministry said the ceremony will be held at the central hall of Parliament at 10.15 AM on 25th July where Chief Justice of India N V Ramana will administer the oath ceremony.
