India has strongly warned Pakistan to treat our officer with respect. They have told Pakistan to follow the laws such as the International Humanitarian Law which state the various rules to treat prisoners of war. The Ministry of External Affairs has demanded Pakistan to immediately return the IAF officer.

PM Modi held a meeting with senior government officials to start a discussion with Pakistan to bring back our pilot.Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has appealed to India to discuss the matter instead of starting a war. He is ready to investigate the Pulwama attack and fully cooperate with India.

We hope Wg.Cdr.Varthaman returns safely back to India.
