India have advanced to the final ICC Women's T20 World Cup for the first time after winning the semi-final against England Women.It had been raining since yesterday morning, and the rain continued as the umpires and the referee decided to cancel the match.The match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.India finished on top of Group A, as they won all their four matches in group A.Meanwhile, England were the second-placed side in Group B with six points.
As per rules, India got through to the final as they were the higher standing side after the league stage.
India will now face the winner of the other semi-final at Melbourne Cricket Ground.The other semi-final is between South Africa and Australia. Team India will play their first ever final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, on Sunday. Our women's cricket team will play the finals on women’s day. We wish them good luck.
