These professionals will be working in the critical care unit of different Covid-19 hospitals in UAE. The team also consisted of nurses who are specially trained to care for patients in ICU. This initiative was facilitated by the Indian Embassy, Department of Health - Abu Dhabi and UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Indian Ambassador to UAE Pavan Kapoor said such initiatives show long and strong bilateral ties between both the countries.
Vinod Sebastian, one of the senior nurses in the team said it is a proud moment for each of them. "It is our duty to serve and treat the patients. For many of the nurses in the team, it is their first journey to a foreign country. All of them are highly experienced in critical care (ICU). We are very confident and motivated. We are taking it up as a challenge."
