Indian Army Against Gay Sex and Adultery
Indian Army will not tolerate adultery and homosexual activities within its ranks.
Army chief General Bipin Rawat from the Indian Army said that, the Indian Army will not tolerate homosexuality and Adultery. Over the years, the military in many western countries, have changed. Many countries like America and Canada are allowing soldiers to be openly gay, lesbians and bisexuals without any discrimination.
General Bipin Rawat said that, the Army is like a family and it is not westernised. The army will not allow such activities. He said, soldiers and officers who are caught indulging in such Homosexual/ gay activities and extramarital affairs, will face strict action through court martial.
In 2018, the Supreme Court had declared that being gay is not a crime. The Supreme court also said that people who have sex with the same gender can not be arrested.
General Rawat said that the Indian Army respects the Supreme Court. He said that in the army, soldiers do not get the same freedom as the common man. On some issues, the army is different.
