Indian States on Lockdown Due to Covid-19
In order to contain the spread of Coronavirus, the Central Government announced that, from 22nd March to 31st March many states and districts will be put on lockdown.
Till now around 400 people have been infected by the Coronavirus. Yesterday everyone observed Janata Curfew by being at home. But just one day is not enough to fight the Coronavirus. This is why yesterday the Central Government announced that, from 22nd March to 31st March many states and districts will be put on lockdown. A lockdown means no one is supposed to leave the house, offices will remain closed, trains buses and other forms of transportation will be shut. Only people working in essential services such as doctors, nurses, police, etc will be allowed to continue working. Only vegetable and food stores will be open, medical shops, etc will be open. The Indian Railways has decided to stop all trains in India. Only goods trains will be running. Means trains carrying food supplies, etc. This decision has been made so that the virus doesn’t spread.Districts in states such as Delhi, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka and Chattisgarh will be shut down.
Section 144 which means a gathering of more than 4 people will not be allowed, has been implemented in various districts of India. Many state governments have requested people to remain at home even after the Janata Curfew. Yesterday while cheering for our doctors, nurses and policemen many people gathered in large numbers. We understand the sentiments, However this is not safe. Right now everyone must observe social distancing in order to be safe and keep everyone safe. So please follow the rules of your local authorities, stay at home and be safe. Till now in Italy more than 5000 people have died due to coronavirus. This is more than the deaths recorded in China due to the coronavirus. Italy is facing many difficulties to control the spread of the virus. To prevent such a situation in India we must all stay at home and follow rules of the authorities.
