Indian Wrestlers Secure Place In 2020 Olympics
Three Indian wrestlers who participated in the World Wrestling Championships, have made the country proud by securing a spot in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The World Wrestling Championships are being held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. On 18th September, Wrestler Vinesh Phogat in the 53 kg category won a Bronze medal in the World Championships.Because of this win, she has now confirmed her place in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
World No 1 wrestler Bajrang Punia played extremely well, however he lost in the Semi-Finals 65 kg category. This is extremely sad but the good news is that he has confirmed his spot in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Another Indian Wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya won the semi- finals in the 57kg category and secured a place in 2020.
