Internet Starts in Assam After 10 Days

Because of the dangerous protests in Assam against the Citizenship Amendment Act, internet had been shut down. For ten days there was no internet in Assam. Now the government has finally started the internet.
Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance Jio and the state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have all started their internet services.This is because the Guwahati High Court had ordered the Indian government to start internet in Assam. A senior official of Airtel said that, "We did not receive any further communication from the government to continue with the ban, so we resumed the service for our customers."
When the internet started people started receiving social media notifications and many messages.
A local person said that he received so many messages that his phone started hanging. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal addressed a press conference saying, "I want to tell all Indian Muslims that your rights are safe in Assam. There will be equality and you are all safe. He told the people of Assam, that there is no threat to our language or our identity.
