J&K: 2 Teachers Killed in Srinagar
The principal and a teacher of a government school were killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar today.
On 7 October 2021, terrorists stormed into the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Srinagar's Eidgah area and shot the principal and the teacher at close range. There were no students in the school as classes are still online. The police chief of Jammu and Kashmir said the terror group "The Resistance Front" (TRF) was behind the attack. The teacher, Deepak Chand, was a Hindu from Jammu and the principal, Supunder Kour, was a Sikh. Both of them were rushed to SKIMS hospital in Soura but were declared dead on arrival. The area has been cordoned off and the police have started looking for the attackers. J&K police have said that the TRF group is run from Karachi and they will catch the terrorists working with the group. In the last 1 week 7 people from minority communities like hindus, sikhs, etc. have been killed by terrorists. This has created a lot of fear among the people but the police have promised to catch the culprits.
