London: Britain King Charles III Diagnosed With Cancer
Buckingham Palace has issued an official public statement announcing that the king of Great Britain, King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatments.

Britain’s Royal Communication released a statement from Buckingham Palace on 5th February 2024 announcing that the king of Great Britain, King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer. According to the statement, the 75 years old King Charles was hospitalized for 3 days in January and underwent a corrective procedure for a benign (non-cancerous) enlarged prostate. During the diagnostic test for the procedure, the cancer was detected. The statement does not reveal the type & stage of Cancer King Charles is suffering from. According to the statement, King Charles has already started the treatments. He is positive about it and is grateful to his medical team. The doctors have advised him to not participate in any public duties and events. Therefore, throughout the period of his treatment, King Charles will only undertake State business, important private meetings and official paperwork. The news released by BBC reveals that King Charles informed his siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward and both his sons personally about his diagnosis. His elder son, the Prince of Wales, Prince William is in regular contact with him. His younger son, the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, who has separated from the family and lives in the United States also spoke to his father and will soon return to London to meet him. According to the issued statement, King Charles chose to announce his cancer treatment to the public to prevent any rumors regarding his health, to support cancer patients, to further raise awareness and to urge people to get regular cancer screening checkups. As a prince, King Charles had been a patron of many cancer-related charities. UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak wished him a speedy recovery and wrote that he knows that King Charles will be back to full strength in no time and that the whole country is wishing him well. US President Joe Biden also expressed his concern. He said that he & his wife are praying for King Charles' fast & full recovery and also mentioned that he would speak to him soon.
