Love Jihad Angle in Actor Tunisha Sharma’s Suicide Case
Death of Actor Tunisha Sharma has opened the possibilities of love Jihad after the involvement of her co-star Sheezan Khan.
On 24th December 2022 morning, 20-year-old film and TV actor Tunisha Sharma had reported to the sets of the serial ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul’ at Bhajanlal Studios on the Kaman-Bhiwandi Link Road. During lunch break at 3pm, she reportedly went to use the toilet of lead co-actor Sheezan Khan’s make-up room. When she did not return till an hour later, the staff went to call her for the shoot. She was found hanging inside the toilet. Tunisha Sharma’s sudden demise by suicide has left everyone in shock.
According to the latest reports, Tunisha's body was taken to JJ Hospital in Mumbai for postmortem.
Police said that there were no injury marks on her body. Initial probe suggested she died due to asphyxiation. The autopsy also ruled out pregnancy, as opposed to previous speculations. Tunisha Sharma's colleagues too claimed she had died by suicide, but the police conducted an investigation on the spot and said no suicide note was recovered. They said they will investigate her death from both murder and suicide angles. After the postmortem, her body was handed over to her family on 25th December 2022. She will be cremated on 26th December 2022.
Tunisha’s mother, who reached the hospital after being informed about the suicide, filed a complaint with Valiv police in Vasai. She told cops that Tunisha was suffering in the relationship and that could have led her to take the extreme step. The FIR copy reads that, “Tunisha was in a relationship with her co-star Sheezan. 15 days back, Sheezan had broken up with her, due to which she started living under tension…due to this she was in depression…” Sheezan Khan was arrested by the Waliv Police. Vasai court has sent Sheezan to police custody for 4 days. So far, police have recorded statements of 14 people in the case. They all are related to the show Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. However, Tunisha shared a photo of herself five hours before ending her life. In the photo, she can be seen sitting in her costume of Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul and the script in her hand. She captioned it as, “Those who are driven by their Passion Don’t stop.”. All her recent posts on social media showed her as a happy-go-lucky person and had motivating quotes.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Ram Kadam said the investigation will also probe if it was a “case of love jihad” and the accused will not be spared. Tunisha’s family will get justice 100%,”. Tunisha started working as a child artist and then went to work in many serials and movies.
