Lucknow Girl Beats Taxi Driver in Viral Video
An FIR has been registered against a young woman who assaulted a cab driver in Lucknow in a video that has gone viral on social media.
A video of a young girl brutally slapping a man has gone viral on social media and people were shocked by the woman’s behaviour.The hashtag #ArrestLucknowGirl also went viral. The girl’s name was Priyadarshani Yadav. She was at the Awadh crossing in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh She was crossing the road on foot. CCTV cameras captured the entire incident. In the video it can be seen that the girl is dangerously crossing the busy road. She then suddenly stopped in front of an approaching cab. As soon as the cab stopped, the Priyadarshani then broke the cab’s mirrors and started shouting at the driver named Shahadat Ali. She was shouting at the driver and damaging the car. The driver then came out of the cab.
Once the driver came out of the cab, the girl started slapping the driver many times. Even though there were so many people, she did not stop slapping him. She also broke Ali’s mobile phone. Ali can be heard saying: “Please call the women’s police.” When passerby people Asked why she was attacking Ali, the girl can be heard saying that his cab hit her. The woman also said that the driver hit her near the crossing, adding that he misbehaved after the incident. A man in the background could be heard saying: “Arre badtameez aurat hai yeh (She is an insolent woman).” The police have issued a challan to the girl as well as the driver. The driver says he will now file an FIR against the girl for beating him. When the video went viral people had different opinions. Some said that the girl’s actions were wrong while some said that the driver was speeding and wanted to jump a red light, so the driver was wrong.
