Mackenzie Bezos Becomes World’s 4th Richest Woman
After her divorce settlement with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie Bezos will now become the world’s 4 richest women with a net worth of Rs 2,00,000 crore.
Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie Bezos announced their divorce a few months back. Once her divorce is finalised, Mackenzie Bezos will get $38 billion which is approximately Rs. 8,12,636cr in the divorce settlement. This is the world's biggest divorce settlement in history. Mackenzie will now become the world’s 4th richest woman as she receives a 4% stake in Amazon.
Jeff will remain the world's richest, with an estimated net worth of $118bn (Approx, Rs. 2,00,000cr).MacKenzie is an author. She has given up all interests in the Washington Post and Blue Origin owned by Jeff Bezos. She has also given up voting control 75%of her shares.However, MacKenzie doesn't intend on keeping the entire $38bn all to herself. In May, MacKenzie signed The Giving Pledge, a charity group of the world's wealthiest people. She has and promised half her fortune to charity.
