While this act seems to be too hard to believe, it's actually true. The incident happened in the Howrah-Malda Town Intercity Express. When the train was between Tarapith Road and Rampurhat stations on the night of 15th October 2022.
The man named Sajal Sheikh told the police from his hospital bed that he had boarded the train from Sainthia railway station. He said that there was another man in the coach who was misbehaving. Sheikh had an argument with him and was thrown out of the speeding train just a few minutes later. However, Sheikh was rescued from the tracks in an injured condition. He was admitted to Rampurhat Medical College and Hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable. The passenger, who threw Sheikh out of the train, calmly returned and sat as if nothing had ever happened. One person was arrested in this connection and the Government Railway Police (GRP) suspect that a few others were also involved in the crime.
