Mother & Daughter Murder 5yr Old For Treasure
A woman and her daughter allegedly hacked their neighbour's five-year-old daughter to death, as part of an occult ritual sacrifice.
On 6 July 2021, in Chamraudi village of Uttar Pradesh, the police were informed that a 5 year old girl was missing. The police then began investigating and questioning neighbours. No one had seen her. Then the police questioned a minor boy who lived in the girl’s neighbourhood. The boy's answers shocked the police.
He said that his mother and sister hacked the girl into pieces and later threw her body in a nearby nullah.
The police were stunned by his reply. They immediately arrested the 2 women. When asked why they committed such a ghastly crime, they said "part of a ritual sacrifice" to discover buried treasure on the advice of an occultist.
The police are not sure if this is the reason and are investigating more. The body was retrieved from the nullah and sent for the post-mortem examination. Serious injury marks were found on the victim's neck.
The woman’s husband has been detained and questioned. A search is on for the occultist.
