In Varachha area of Surat there is the Vitthal Nagar Colony near Hirabagh Circle. Shocking videos and pictures have been circulating on whatsapp and social media. There is dirty sludge coming out of sewage lines and water pipes. Houses were filled with thick layers mud. The entire colony is filled with mud. When you open the tap mud is coming out of it. From the sink mud is coming. People could not enter their house. They have to lay bricks on the floor to enter the house. People were walking in a thick layer of mud. Due to this, people got scared. There is a possibility of such a situation due to the metro. At present, the work on the metro train project is going in the entire city of Surat. The project is going on around Hirabagh circle as well. It is feared that during the excavation of the metro line, there has been leakage in the sewage and tap pipe lines. Because of this, soil started flowing through the taps along with the water. Due to this, sewage lines have also been filled with sludge. At present, municipal workers are engaged in checking sewage and tap pipes.
