News Coronavirus found in Maharashtra, Kerala & Telangana

As per the Union Health Ministry, two new variants of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 have been detected in Maharashtra, Kerala, and Telangana.

The Union Health Ministry had said on Tuesday 23rd Feb said that at least two new variants of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 have been detected in Maharashtra, Kerala, and Telangana. The health ministry clarified that the increase in cases in Maharashtra is not because of these new strains. The names of these two strains of corona are N440K and E484K. ICMR Director-General Dr. Balram Bhargava said, “These two virus strains have been detected in other countries, too, and are not specific to India.” Coronavirus strains from the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Brazil have also been detected in India. These strains of coronavirus can spread very quickly. 194 people have been infected with the UK, South Africa, and Brazil strains in India. The behavior of mutated strains of the virus is being constantly and closely watched. The health ministry has asked people to be careful and follow all safety precautions.
