9-Year-Old Dies in Jaipur School, Family Blames Bullying
A 9-year-old girl died after falling from her school’s fourth floor in Jaipur, revealing serious bullying complaints, safety lapses and missing approvals.
On 1st November 2025, a tragic incident took place at Box 02 Neerja Modi School in Box 01 Jaipur, where 9-year-old Amayra fell from the fourth floor of the school building and died. What first appeared to be an accident soon turned into a major controversy as serious details began to emerge.
Her parents revealed that Amayra had been bullied for over a year. She faced regular harassment from a classmate, including verbal bullying and sexual-natured comments. Although her mother repeatedly complained to the teacher and school administration, the family says no action was taken. A year-old voice message of the child also resurfaced, where she cried and pleaded not to be sent to school.
Moments before the incident, CCTV footage shows Amayra approaching her teacher twice, seemingly to complain again. Investigators found it suspicious that the CCTV had no audio, even though CBSE guidelines require working audio systems.
Safety concerns increased when the family learned that the parapet on the fourth floor had no safety grills. Authorities also found that the school only had building approvals up to the first floor, while children were being taught on four floors. The family further alleged that blood stains at the spot were washed away, raising fears of a cover-up.
Following public outrage, the Box 03 Rajasthan Education Department formed a five-member committee to investigate safety lapses, staff conduct, ignored complaints, CCTV issues and possible tampering of evidence. The family demanded a Box 04 CBI investigation, saying they no longer trusted the school.
Investigators are now examining whether the fall was accidental, forced, or suicide, and why complaints and safety protocols failed. The case has sparked widespread anger and concern over bullying, school accountability and children’s safety. The probe continues as the family fights for justice.
