Olympic Gold Medalist Loves to Knit

Britain diver Tom Daley has become an internet sensation after images of him knitting during the Olympic matches went viral.

27-year-old Tom Daley is a diver from the United Kingdom. He began diving at the age of seven. When he was only 14 years old, he participated in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. He came out as gay when he was 19 and is now married to the Oscar-winning film-maker Dustin Lance Black. He won a bronze medal at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. He is a fantastic diver. He recently won a gold medal at the Tokyo, Japan Olympics in the synchronised 10m platform diving. (2 people dive from a height of 10m. You may be surprised to know that apart from diving Daley loves to  knit and crochet.

Recently many images went viral. In the images Daley could be seen sitting in the audience and watching various diving matches. 

His 'madewithlovebytomdaley' Instagram account is dedicated to his creations and it has over 7.3 lakh followers. On this account he shared a picture of a little pouch he knit for his Olympic gold medal.  According to Daley, knitting helped him stay calm and helped him win so many medals. Isn’t it cool that athletes have different ways of staying calm and focused while training for their matches.
