Part 1: Kangana Ranaut Compares Mumbai to PoK
Currently there is a huge controversy surrounding Kangana Ranaut. Watch our latest video to know all the details.
Currently there is a lot of controversy surrounding Kangana Ranaut. Let me tell how the controversy started.
Kangana had said that she is very afraid of the Mumbai Police and the Maharashtra government. She said she feared these two more than the movie mafia. Kangana said that Mumbai has become very unsafe. The Mumbai Police and Maharashtra government are not doing a good job of investigating Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Because of these comments, many people in Maharashtra were very angry at her. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut wrote an article in Saamna. In the article he said that if Kangana does not feel safe in Mumbai, she must not return. Instead she should stay in Himachal Pradesh. In a TV interview he even used a bad word for Kangana and said that she would face many problems if she returned.
In response to this comment, Kangana Tweeted and said, ‘Sanjay Raut has openly threatened me and asked me not to come to Mumbai. Earlier people in Mumbai were shouting the word ‘Azadi’ and now leaders are issuing threats. Why is Mumbai feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?” This Tweet of hers went viral. Maharashtra leaders, other bollywood actors and citizens became very angry at this comparison. Kangana even posted an IGTV video on her Instagram responding to Sanjay Raut’s threats and said:
Mr Raut you used a very bad word to describe me. You are a government employee and a Member of Parliament and you know very well that in India every day, actually every hour, many women are raped and mistreated. Their bodies are chopped off and thrown. Women face abuse at work where they are insulted and treated badly. Husbands across India are breaking their wives nose, ear, jaw by beating them. Do you know who is responsible for this? People like you and your low mentality are responsible for this. Everybody in the society has the same low mentality of not respecting women, this is why women are facing so many problems in India. I will never forgive for this. By insulting me, you have encouraged all those who insult and abuse women on a daily basis. For this I will never forgive you. Earlier Aamir Khan had said he is afraid of living in India, that time no one called him Haramkhor. Nobody targeted Naseeruddin Shah and called him haramkhor for what he said earlier. I have always praised Mumbai Police. See any of my older interviews.
But in Palghar, the Mumbai police quietly stood while the sadhus were violently lynched. Also, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father wanted to file an FIR but Mumbai police refused. So many things are happening in Mumbai. All I did was criticise the things that are happening. I did nothing wrong, it is my right to freedom of speech. Mr Raut I would like to tell you that I have not criticised Maharashtra. You party members are threatening to slap me, break my jaw and Kill me. You will not harm me at all. Our freedom fighters fought very hard to achieve independence. I will also fight against injustice and make sure India continues to remain independent. So I will meet you on 9th September 2020. Jai Hind. Jai Maharashtra.
After this Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur supported Kangana and said that she will be given full security in Mumbai. The Home Ministry announced that Kangana will be given Y+ security. Kangana and her sister then landed in Mumbai on 9th September and she was seen leaving the airport with security personnel surrounding her.
