Fitness is extremely beneficial. On 21st February Indian Railways has started a new initiative to promote the culture of fitness among the people and help you save your hard earned money as well. Indian Railways has installed a squat machine at theAnand Vihar station, Delhi and 30 squats in 180 seconds in front of the machine will generate a free platform ticket.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal posted a video clip of a young man doing squats on Twitter and wrote: "Savings along with fitness. Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju responded and said: "What a unique step by Railway Minister Piyush Goyalji. Fitness for free and saving money too! Let's make Narendra Modi's initiated Fit India Movement a people's movement." Modi had started the 'Fit India' movement at the Indira Gandhi Stadium here on August 29, 2019 to encourage people to remain healthy and fit by including physical activities and sports in their daily routines. The Railways launched several amenities at the Anand Vihar station, including 'Dava Dost', a generic medicine shop offering up to 80 per cent discount on medicines, a massage kiosk and health kiosk to measure health and wellness parameters like body composition analysis and blood pressure.
