PM Modi Announces ‘Janata Curfew’ on 22nd March
Prime Minister Modi addressed the nation and announced the ‘Janata Curfew’ inorder to protect Indian citizens from the Coronavirus.
The Coronavirus has been spreading all over India creating panic and confusion among many. Yesterday night PM Modi gave a strong speech regarding the Coronavirus. Let me tell you about it.
PM Modi said that the Virus has spread all over and many countries are struggling to deal with sick patients. India cannot become complacent! Steps to be taken as a nation to combat this pandemic -
1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the entire world is crippled and Indians should remain alert. In many countries when the virus first started spreading the number of infections was small and then it suddenly increased. Because of this, the next 15 days are very important. It is very important to stay at home.
PM Modi has requested everyone to follow ‘Janata Curfew’ on Sunday, 22 March 7 am to 9 pm. No one outside homes this day at all.
He said that all Indian citizens must follow the rules of the central and state government as there is no vaccine for the coronavirus.
2. PM Modi said if we are safe we can keep others safe. Try to stay home as much as you can. People must try to work from home. Social Distancing must be practiced. This means we must avoid going to parties, programs and going to many crowded areas.
3. PM Modi specially requested children below the age of 10 and people above the age of 65 to stay at home and avoid going out.
4. Call 10 people and spread this message of social distancing and Janata curfew. Spread awareness among friends and families so that everyone can remain safe.
5. To fight this Virus we have to be strong and patient. We have to be united.
6. All our essential service providers like medical professionals, transport service providers, etc are working very hard. Let's thank them by clapping and cheering them on Sunday, 22 March at 5 pm sharp from our balconies, doorways, and windows.
7. Avoid going to hospitals for routine checkups. Call family doctors over the phone for small problems.
Elective surgeries should be postponed.
8. The Covid-19 Economic Taskforce has been set up by the government to reduce economic issues caused by this pandemic.
9. Traders, business people have been requested to take care of their employees also.
10. Essential commodities like milk, medicines, etc will not be affected. So please don't hoard items. No panic buying.
11. From 22nd March no international flight will be allowed to land in India for one week.
