PM Modi Inaugurates Rs 1,500 Crore Worth Projects in UP
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated and laid foundation stones of multiple development projects in Varanasi worth more than Rs 1,500 crore at the IIT-BHU ground.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15 July went to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He was greeted at the airport by UP Governor Anandiben Patel and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. He inaugurated projects related to tourism, health, education, and road and water transport worth over Rs. 1,500 crore at the IIT-BHU ground. He also laid foundation stones for several upcoming projects. He inaugurated the International Cooperation and Convention Centre, 'Rudrakash', which was constructed with Japanese assistance. The purpose of the Rudraksh convention center is to strengthen Varanasi's tourism sector by providing an ideal destination to hold various international events, including conferences, exhibitions, music concerts, and other events.
He also inaugurated a 100-bed MCH wing in BHU, multi-level parking at Godauliya, Ro-Ro vessels for tourism development on river Ganga and a three-lane flyover bridge on the Varanasi-Ghazipur highway.
He delivered a speech in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state ministers.
During the speech Modi praised Yogi by saying, “The UP Government under Yogi’s leadership has done a wonderful job of stopping the 2nd wave of the coronavirus. Earlier there were many goondas and terrorists in UP but they are now under control because of the strong government. Also criminals are afraid to attack women because they know the Yogi government won’t leave them. All because of Yogi’s efforts, new business is growing in UP.”
