PM Modi Inaugurates Ahmedabad Metro Rail
Prime Minister Modi inaugurates the Phase-1 of the Ahmedabad Metro and laid the foundation stone for the Phase-2 as well. The Ahmedabad Metro is aimed at transport easy for the citizens.
On 4 March Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Phase-1 of the Ahmedabad Metro in Gujarat. The Phase-1 of the Metro covers a distance of 6.8 km. A successful trial run of the Metro on this route was also carried out.
Recently the government approved the second phase of the Metro project. PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the Phase-2 project. The Phase-2 Metro will cover a distance of 28.28 km. Total completion cost of Phase-II Metro is almost Rs 5,384.17 crore.
The Metro will connect two cricket stadiums as well as all the exhibition grounds in Ahmedabad. With an increase in the number of vehicles travelling has become very difficult. The Metro project is aimed at making transport easy in Ahmedabad.
