According to research by PRS Legislative Research, MPs get a monthly salary of ?1,00,000. They even receive various forms of allowances to help them perform their duties.
PM Modi’s yearly income in the year 2018 was Rs 19.92 lakh President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and governors of all states voluntarily decided to give up a portion of their salaries as a social responsibility.Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) is a scheme created by the government that provides funds to MPs so that the MPs can carry out various developmental projects in their areas. The funds to MPLADS will stop for two years. And all the money will be diverted to contain COVID-19.
