PM Modi Releases Rs 150 Coin on Gandhi Jayanthi
To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, PM Modi released a commemorative coin of ?150.
On Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary on Wednesday 2nd October, PM Modi was at the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He was there for the Swachh Bharat Diwas' programme. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also present at the event.At this programme PM Modi released Rs150 coin in memory of Gandhiji’s 150th birthday. Earlier in the month of January, PM Modi had released a coin of Rs 350 to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, a sikh Guru.
Last year, PM Modi had released a commemorative Rs 100 coin in memory of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Such coins do not circulate among the public like other normal coins.
