Priyanka Gandhi Says UP Police Misbehaved with Her

Last week Priyanka Gandhi Vadra filed a complaint against the Uttar Pradesh Police and said that the police in Lucknow pushed her and tried to choke her. Let me tell you what happened. Priyanka wanted to visit 76-year-old man SR Darapuri in Lucknow.Darapuri had been arrested for participating in the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protests.She was going to meet him in the car. However entourage was stopped by the police. When the police stopped her, she got down from her car and sat on Congress worker’s scooter.She rode on the scooter for two kilometers but then the police stopped her again. Priyanka has said that one female UP police Archana Singh did not allow her to visit Darapuri and behaved very badly with her. They choked her and pushed her.She then decided to walk to Darapuri’s house.
Priyanka said that the police did this because of UP CM Yogi Aditynath. Priyanka also said she is the in-charge of Congress for UP east and the government will not decide where she will visit.Archana Singh then said that Priyanka Gandhi was lying.She said she and the other police officials did not push or tried to choke PG. SHe said she was just performing her duties.Archana said that when VIPs, political leaders, etc change routes, it becomes very difficult for police to keep the leader safe.Also when PG sat on the scooter she wasn’t wearing a helmet. This is why the police stopped her but then she got down and started walking.
