India and NRIs celebrated Shri Ram Mandir's 'pran pratishta.' Rahul Gandhi was upset as crowds chanted 'Jai Shri Ram' and BJP slogans during his campaign rally in Assam.

So finally, Shri Ram has arrived and settled in Ayodhya forever. The ‘pran pratishta’ ceremony was as beautiful as the Ram Mandir. The grand Ram Mandir was decorated with 26,000 all natural flowers including Genda, Roses, Orchids, and imported flowers from Japan, South Korea & Thailand as well as special lights for the mega event. The whole world saw PM Modi walking into the Ram Mandir with a big silver chhatra on a heavy embroidered red fabric to perform the ‘pran pratishta’ of Shri Ram lalla and do a dandvat pranam after the puja was complete. He even showered flowers on the construction workers who have built the beautiful Ram Mandir. NSG snipers, 10000 CCTV cameras, AI-powered drones, UP police commandos, plain cloth police & thousands of state police personnel of all castes & religions were deployed to ensure security during the inauguration ceremony. The ceremony was watched live by billions of people across the world. Apart from lighting diyas to celebrate Deepotsav in Shri Ram’s honor as requested by PM Modi and hoisting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ flags, different people & communities from different parts of the world expressed their excitement & devotion through many interesting ways.
- Mukesh Ambani’s famous Mumbai residence Antilla was lit up with artworks of ‘Jai Shree Ram’. A video showed Antilla’s complex & exterior decorated with color changing lights and depictions of diyas and chants hailing Lord Ram.
- The official residence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also lit up to mark the historic occasion.
- The ‘Maa Janki Mandir’ in JanakpurDham, Nepal which is considered the maternal home of Goddess Sita also glowed with vibrant lights & lighted diyas. The temple witnessed one of the highest number of visitors so far. Female devotees covered in sindoor were also seen singing Ram bhajans and dancing in processions in the streets of JanakpurDham.
- Mumbai’s Bandra- Worli Sea Link was 3D mapped with words ‘Jai Shree Ram’ in bright color lights. Several videos surfaced on social media showing the Sea Link decked up with stunning lights and decorations.
- PVR INOX held special live screenings of the ceremony in over 160 cinemas across 70 cities in India at a mere price of ?100 with a beverage and popcorn combo.
- Innumerable roads, gullies, homes, offices and cars in India hoisted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ flags creating a scenic view.
- Innumerable temples across India were decorated with flowers, flags and lights.
- Reliance Industries organized a grand ‘bhandara’ or ‘Anna Seva’ to commemorate the opening of the Ram Temple.
- Delhi’s Khan market association carried out a rath shobha yatra and 24-hour non-stop kirtan with artists from Vrindavan.
- In Delhi’s Connaught Place, a live telecast of the ceremony was organized. The celebration was concluded by a musical Sunderkand Path and lighting of 1.25 lakh diyas.
- Jewelers in Gujarat & pan India jewelry brand Kalyan Jewellers designed and offered Ram Mandir inspired jewelry like rings, kangans & necklaces at special discounted prices.
- The Shri Mahalakshmi Jagdamba Mandir at Maharashtra’s Koradi prepared 6,000 kg of halwa in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
- In the first ever flights from Ahmedabad to Ayodhya & Varanasi to Ayodhya, passengers were seen wearing saffron scarfs and chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
- Many international bloggers and influencers also posted the video talking about the mega event and some even posted a video of them dancing on Shri Ram bhajans to commemorate the occasion.
- The whole Indian Jain community also excitedly took part in the Ram Mandir inaugural celebration. Many significant Jain Acharyas visited the Ram Mandir. Jain International Organisation distributed 500 kg of ladoos in Shri Ram’s honor. Lakshmipuri Jain Mandir in Kolhapur was also illuminated with lights on 22nd January 2024.
- Many expecting parents around India intentionally delayed or preponed their child birth & delivered their children on 22nd January 2024 via C-sections during the ‘pran pratishta’ muhurat in the belief that the kid will possess Shri Ram’s quality & character.
- A muslim woman who gave birth in Firozabad on the Ram Mandir inauguration day has named her son ‘Ram-Rahim’ to honor both Shri Ram & the new unity amongst Hindus & Muslims of India.
- Indians & Hindus in several parts of Paris, London, USA, Mauritius, Seychelles and Australia organized car rallies & processions with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ flags, the Indian national tri-color flag, dhols, saffron scarves & strips.This included Time Square of New York city, Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco, USA & Eiffel Tower surrounding area in Paris, France.
- The city of Queretaro in Mexico also inaugurated their first Ram Mandir temple. Indian communities in Canada collectively organized the live screening of the ceremony.
