RBI To Issue New Rs 20 Note
The RBI is ready to introduce the new Rs 20 notes soon.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is all set to issue new Rs 20 notes soon.In a statement issued by the RBI, they said that these notes would be greenish yellow in colour.These notes will have the motif of Ellora caves. They will also have common features like Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait, the signature of the RBI governor, the Ashoka pillar and Swachh Bharat logo.
Since the demonetisation in 2016 the RBI has issued new currency notes with new designs in all denominations, like 500, 100, 50, 20 and 10. They have issued a new notes for Rs 2000 and Rs 200 as well. The RBI also said that even after the introduction of the new Rs 20 notes, the old notes of Rs 20 will still be legal tender.
