Rhea Chakraborty Charged For Drugs Again
It's been more than 2 years since the actor Sushant Singh Rajput died under mysterious circumstances at his house in Mumbai, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s problems havent came to an end yet.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death is among the most controversial deaths in the history of Bollywood. However his death has raised questions related to the consumption of illegal Drugs in the industry on several bollywood stars including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. However, it's been more than 2 years since the actor died under mysterious circumstances at his house and in Mumbai, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s problems have not came to an end yet. Ms Chakraborty was arrested in the case in September 2020. She was granted bail by the Bombay High Court almost a month after her arrest.
Besides Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty and several others are also accused in the case for alleged consumption, possession and financing of drugs. However, Most of them are out on bail. Recently on Wednesday 22nd June, The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has again filed draft charges against actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and others before a special court in connection with a drugs case . The NCB proposed the court to charge Rhea and Showik Chakraborty for consumption of narcotic substances and also for owning and paying for such substances on behalf of Actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Mr Sarpande said the court was scheduled to frame charges against all the accused. However, it couldn't be done as a few of the accused moved discharge applications earlier. Moreover, all the accused, including Rhea and Showik, were present before the court on Wednesday 22nd June. Special judge V G Raghuwanshi, hearing cases pertaining to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, scheduled the matter for hearing on July 12.
