A bill from 23rd January, 1986 has gone viral on the internet and people are amazed. It was shared by Being Royal, a vintage bike enthusiast, on Instagram. The ? 18,700 invoice of the bullet is 36 years old and was issued in Bokaro, Jharkhand, by a dealer named Sandeep Auto Company. Notably, the 18,700 Rupee price was the final selling price of the motorcycle, including all the taxes and insurance.Back then, the bullet mentioned in the bill was simply known as the Enfield Bullet. It was a dependable motorcycle that was mostly used by the Indian army to patrol border areas.
Since being shared, the post has over 53,000 likes. The post has garnered a lot of comments from bike enthusiasts around the country, with several interesting comments. A person in the comment section mentioned that he has a 1984 February model which was priced at just 16,100 Rupees that time which he still rides today after more than 38 years. Meanwhile, another user mentioned that they had bought a bullet from a dealer named Ali Bhai Premji in Mumbai, which was then called Bombay. The showroom was located on Grant road Opposite Minerva cinema in the year 1980 and they purchased the motorcycle for just 10,500 rupees. Moreover, some users trolled the brand mentioning that they don’t even give small discounts now, whereas the other mentioned the quality of machines during the old times which were offered at such low prices.
