Russia's Highest Civilian Award, Conferred to PM Modi
Russian President Putin has signed the decree to confer Indian PM, Modi with the highest Russian civilian award.
Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will be conferred with the highest civilian honour of Russia, the Order of the Holy Apostle Andrew.
This Order of the Holy Apostle Andrew is the highest award in Russia. It began at the end of the 17th Century by Czar Peter I, in honour of the Apostle Andrew, the First Called.
The President of Russia, Putin, signed a decree, to confer this award to the Indian Prime Minister Modi. during his tenure as PM of India, this will be the eighth international honour for PM Modi.

The Russian embassy in India, in a statement, said that this award was being conferred to PM Modi, for his “exceptional services in promoting special and privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India and for ensuring friendly relations between Russians and Indians.”
