Shiv Sena (UBT) Leader's Son Shot Dead During Facebook Live
Abhishek Ghosalkar, the son of Shiv Sena (UBT) ex-corporator & MLA Vinod Ghosalkar, was shot dead by upcoming politician Mauris (Bhai) Noronha during the Facebook livestream.
Abhishek Ghosalkar, the son of Shiv Sena (UBT) ex-corporator & MLA Vinod Ghosalkar, was shot dead by Mauris Noronha, popularly known as Mauris Bhai while doing a Facebook livestream on 8th February 2024. According to the reports, Abhsihek was the chairman of the Mumbai Buildings Repairs and Reconstruction Board. On the other hand, Mauris claimed to be a social worker and was preparing to contest in BMC elections. The locals said that there was personal enmity between them to dominate local politics and other several issues. However, they both had patched up recently. Mauris had also shared multiple pictures with Abhishek on his social media handles. The incident took place when Mauris invited Abhishek to his Dahisar/Borivali office for an event. During the event at around 7:30 pm, Mauris & Abhishek went live on Facebook together. In the livestream, they both pledged to distribute saris and food grains to poor families in the Borivali-Dahisar belt. After a few minutes, Mauris left the livestream and later shot Abhishek 3 times from behind the camera. After that Mauris turned the gun towards him & shot himself dead. The whole incident got live streamed on Facebook and the video has gone viral on social media. Abhishek was rushed to Karuna Hospital in Dahisar where he was declared dead due to multiple bullet injuries. The motive of the shooting is not clear yet. The incident has led Shiv Sena (UBT) to once again claim its ‘Gunda raj’ in the CM Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra and Fadnavis is a complete failure as Deputy Chief Minister. Many Shiv Sena (UBT) members are demanding Shinde & Fadnavis’s resignations. They said that there is no longer any fear of law in Maharashtra. The state is getting defamed by such incidents & the citizens are very scared. The incident comes days after BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad opened fire at Shiv Sena leader Mahesh Gaikwad & his supporters inside the cabin of a senior cop at the Hill Line police station in Ulhasnagar.
