Singer Sonu Nigam Attacked in Mumbai Concert
Singer Sonu Nigam and his team were allegedly attacked at a concert in the Chembur area of Mumbai on 20th February 2023 night.
Sonu Nigam was in Chembur to attend an event organized by Shiv Sena leader Prakash Phaterpekar on 20th February 2023 night.
While he was walking down the stage, some people allegedly rushed in to take selfies with the singer. A man first pushed Sonu Nigam's bodyguard who fell down and then pushed Sonu who somehow stood on his feet. Rabbani Khan, son of Sonu Nigam's guru and famous classical musician too was pushed. He fell down from the stage from a height of eight feet and landed on his spine. He was immediately taken to Zen Hospital in Chembur and his X-ray reports are awaited.
The accused turned out to be Swapnil Phatarpekar, son of MLA Phatarpekar. He insisted on taking a selfie with Nigam and this led to the scuffle. Following the dramatic events, the singer has approached the Chembur police station to register a complaint. The Chembur police have booked all those responsible for the scuffle.
