Students 'Demolish' Babri Masjid in a Play
A school in Karnataka, enacted a play in which students depicted the demolishment of the Babri Masjid. A video of this play went viral on the internet and shocked many.
A School Day function was held on Sunday at the Sri Rama Vidyakendra High School in Dakshina Kannada district's Kalladka. Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda and Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi were Chief Guests at the event and several ministers from Karnataka were also present.Students of Class XI and XII enacted a play about the 1992 demolition of Babri Masjid.During the play the Narrator was narrating the events and said that they start demolishing the Babri Masjid with anything they can get their hands on.”
Students were chanting 'Shree Ram Chandra Ki Jai' and 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', while they acted to demolish the Ram Mandir.People are saying that it teaches children to disrespect other religions and faiths. People have said that such plays will encourage Hate between Hindus & Muslims.RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, who owns the school, said that they did nothing wrong and they were depicting "historical events."Bhat added that Babri Masjid was "not a mosque." He said, "It was just a building."
