Sushant’s Girlfriend Requests Amit Shah for Help
Actress Rhea Chakraborty has finally broken her silence over the toxicity and harassment that followed after Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai home on 14th June. The next day after his death, Rhea Chakraborty was pictured at the hospital where Sushant’s body was taken. Police investigation is going on for his case. In connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, Mumbai police spoke to several people. One of them was Ms Rhea. For almost a month since his death she has been very silent. She did not talk to the media or post anything on social media. Finally she broke her silence with two strong posts on social media. Rhea Chakraborty (age 27) has received hateful comments for a month since Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide. On Instagram, she shared a screenshot of one such message she received, a threat of rape and murder from another instagram user. She even tagged that person in her caption.
Rhea Chakraborty wrote:
I was called a gold digger, I kept quiet. I was called a murderer, I kept quiet. I was slut shamed, I kept quiet.
Enough is enough. How does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me raped and murdered if I do not commit suicide? Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment. Rhea also tagged two cyber crime cell accounts in her post. Her second post she wrote, I am Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend and addressed Home Minister Amit Shah asking for a CBI enquiry into Mr Rajput's death.
