Taliban Says Graduates Between 2000-2020 Useless
The Taliban has declared that people holding valuable degrees should burn them, as now they are useless. They said religious studies about Islam are more valuable.
2000-2020 are believed to be one of the most important years when it comes to education in Afghanistan, because during this time Afghan men and women received very good education. They became lawyers, doctors, teachers, etc. The country saw large-scale development. This is because the Afghan government and the USA did a lot of the country.
However, now the new education minister Abdul Baqi Haqqani during a meeting with university lecturers in Kabul said, that since the Taliban has come to power, all the graduates like doctors, lawyers, teachers, or anyone with good education can throw or burn their certificates because they will not be useful anymore.
The Taliban said that such degrees are useless and religious studies about Islam are more valueable. He said there are many talented people in Afghanistan this is why he will hire new teachers in schools and colleges who will teach about Islam so that the people benefit.
This time, even though it had promised to allow girls to be educated, they are still not being allowed to attend secondary schools.
