Team India Reaches England for 2019 World Cup
Virat Kohli and Indian Cricket Team have reached UK for the 2019 World Cup Starting on May 30th.
Virat Kohli and the India Cricket Team have landed in London to start preparations for the ICC World Cup which will be starting on 30th May . The opening match will be between England & South Africa. The tournament will run from 30th May to 14th July 2019, with a total of 10 teams and 48 matches to be played. 45 matches in the Group Stages and then two Semi-finals and the Final at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Each team will play 9 matches with every team playing each other once.
India will be playing two practice matches before the tournament will begin. The first practise match was between New Zealand on May 25th and the second is between Bangladesh on May 28th.India’s first game will be against South Africa on June 5th in Southampton, England who are one of the hot favourites for the tournament.
Virat Kohli spoke with the media hours before leaving for England, where he said the team needs to be match-ready from day one, as india will be having four games in a short period of time and there is no room for complacency.
India has won the World Cup twice in its history, first was in 1983 in England and then in 2011 in India. The winners of the World Cup will receive a prize of 27 Crore rupees.Many of India’s players were busy with the IPL before the World Cup and the hopes are that they can carry that great form into the tournament for India.
