Tiger Pop Wins India’s Best Dancer Season 1
Ajay Singh, popularly known as Tiger Pop, was announced as the winner of India’s Best Dancer on 22nd November.
Ajay Singh, popularly known as Tiger Pop, was announced as the winner of India's Best Dancer on Sunday 22nd November. The young boy from Gurugram took home the trophy, a cash prize of Rs 15 lakh and a swanky Maruti car. His choreographer Vartika Jha also received a cheque of Rs 5 lakh. Apart from Tiger Pop, the other finalists were Mukul Gain, Shweta Warrier, Paramdeep Singh and Subhranil Paul. On the show, Tiger Pop, known for his unique “pop style” dance moves, had shared that it was his mother’s dream to see him achieve a feat like this.
Ecstatic about winning the title of India’s Best Dancer, he said in a statement, “I am beyond happy to have won the title of India’s Best Dancer. I cannot believe that my childhood dream has come true today. He also wrote an extensive note after his victory. In one of his Instagram posts, he thanked the judges, Malaika Arora, Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis. He posted a picture with his trophy and the judges and wrote. "Thank you so much everyone.” In a separate post, he wrote: "Thank you God. Thank you each and every person who came in my life and motivated me." During the finale, judges Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis and Malaika Arora performed to iconic tracks. The show was hosted by Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya.
